REPLACEMENT OF LOST LOGBOOK IN KENYA

Your log book is the most important document to show that you own a car.
It can be used to a security to a loan facility or a bond in a court of law.
Sometimes it can get lost and you wish to replace it but you don’t have the idea on how to go about it.
Here is the process;

OBTAIN A POLICE ABSTRACT
This will show that you reported that your logbook got lost you can obtain it at any police station or Huduma center

MAKE THE APPLICATION VIA TIMS
Login to your TIMS account and attach the police abstract.

APPROVAL
Once you make the application it will go to NTSA for the approval of the same.
And you will receive a text like this
“Hi YOUR NAME car of frame number (CHASSIS NUMBER) and registration number KXX 001A has passed the application for duplicate logbook".

PRINTING
Once your logbook has been approved the next step is printing and signature.

DISPATCH
Once the logbook is ready you will receive a text like this one “Dear YOUR NAME  , your logbook for vehicle KXX 001A is ready for collection at Nairobi on 00/00/2017. Please come and collect before 00/00/2017.

The normal timeline for all this is ten to fourteen working days.

We can help get it four days if you wish but you have to pay a fee for our service.
