CAR TRANSFER IN KENYA

Since NTSA took over the process of motor vehicle transfer from KRA a lot of changes has happened and most of people are not aware of this.
Well we will explain to you how to go about it and the documents required;
START WITH A SEARCH
This shows the particulars of the car that you wish to buy
If the details doesn’t match with the one that your provided with by the owner forget it
MAKE THE PAYMENTS
Log in to your E-CITIZEN account and go to NTSA icon, click on it then proceed to motor vechile registration, key in the details of the car and make the payments either via Mpesa,Credit Card,Airtel Money Or Opt For A Cash Payment.

PRINT THE INVOICE
After the payments you will be issued with a receipt which you will download and print.
PRESENT THE DOCUMENTS
The following documents are presented to the nearest NTSA office, if you in Nairobi go to Hillpark towers in upper hill not TIMES TOWERS
a.       The Original Logbook
b.      Executed Transfer Forms
c.       Invoice From E-Citizen
d.      Copies Of I.D And Kra Pin Of Both Buyer And Seller
e.      A Sale Agreement
The process take approximately a month to be completed once you present the documents at NTSA because they are sent via Posta.
